Our Arrival
My husband and I moved to Babel, Llandovery in 2016. For me, it was like coming home. In Welsh, the word is ‘Hiraeth’ which is a longing for home.
Born in Cardiff, I have been out of the Principality for over 2 decades, but am delighted that we found this gem of a property in such a stunning location.
We share the property with our miniature schnauzer dogs, Gelert and Mabli, two cats and clutch of hens- and there is nothing like having fresh eggs every day. Looking after the animals; tending our beautiful garden; and managing our colony of honey bees, takes up much of our spare time. When we can, we enjoy walking through the surrounding countryside, taking in the fantastic array of trees, shrubs and plants, and spotting local birds and animals. I cannot think of anywhere I would rather be!
